Menzies Distribution are looking for a Transport Operator to join our team. providing a first class service in Corby, Northamptonshire. The main responsibility of this role will be to support our customers, drivers and colleagues throughout the business.

What You Really Want To Know:

• This is a Monday to Friday Shift Pattern
• Hours of work are 22:00-06:00
• 30 Minute Unpaid Break / Paid 37.5 hours per week
• The salary for this role is £29,100.00 per annum or £14.92 per hour
• Holiday Allowance is 28 days per annum inclusive of bank holidays

Transport Operator Duties:

• Maintenance and Management of the Transport Management System (TMS).
• Ensure effective and efficient use of driver and vehicle resources.
• Promotion and adherence to site policy and procedure.
• Manage driver briefing / de-briefing including downloading driver digicards.
• Cross functional interaction (Warehouse / Drivers or Contractors / Customers).
• Undertake any other duties that are reasonably requested.

Transport Operator Requirements:

• Good communication skills are essential with the ability to express empathy with customers
• Planning or scheduling experience
• Knowledge of Health & Safety.
