Role Overview & Responsibilities

Meraki Talent are working with a leading name within the Accountancy world on the position of Corporate Finance Associate Director in either Edinburgh or Glasgow.

The Company

Our client is one of the UK’s leading Accountancy firms with offices throughout the country and internationally. A UK member of an international group of firms they are one of the most recognizable names within their discipline and a key leader within the UK marketplace.

They are currently looking to add to their extremely successful Corporate Finance team with an Associate Director to be based from either their Edinburgh or Glasgow offices. This position has become available after a record year of deals for the firm with an award-winning performance from this team.

The Role
  • Project management of assignments and influence the outcome of the deal with financial analysis, commercial understanding, and negotiation skills
  • Responsibility for managing your workload, key point of contact for your clients and prioritising the demands of each project you are working on
  • Essential member of a deal team, leading, reviewing the drafting of sales documents day to day responsibility for projects and supporting on business development initiatives, such as pitches and research
  • Delegate work, and manage, more junior colleagues, helping them with their own personal development
  • Work as part of a team with a positive attitude of getting things done
  • Responsibility for delivering documents in house style, researching, and gaining a better understanding of businesses such as potential buyers for sell-side mandates, acquisition targets for buy-side mandates, and target research for business development, and carrying out financial modelling, analysis, and valuations of companies
  • Collaboration with other stakeholders is vital, and you will be encouraged to build your own brand with internal colleagues across the other departments within the firm such as audit, tax and advisory as well as externally with key contacts within law firms, banks, and private equity
Experience
  • Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIPFA or equivalent)
  • Must have substantial and relevant deal experience in an accounting firm, investment bank or CF boutique
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
  • Analytical skills and the ability to commercially analyse financial data
  • Experience of managing multiple deliverables, showing prioritisation skills and meeting deadlines within an expected timeframe
