Job Summary:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full or part time Junior Designer /Marketing Assistant to join Mercator Digital. We are a leading technology consultancy and we’re growing fast! This is a versatile role embracing a range of creative and production tasks across both print and digital mediums. You will be our in-house designer as well as assisting in our marketing activities. You’ll be part of the marketing team and report to the Head of Marketing.

Your responsibilities will include:

· Assisting with the design and creation of visual content for marketing campaigns across various platforms such as social media, email, and print.

· Working collaboratively to create engaging content that aligns with brand guidelines and meets business objectives.

· Assisting with the development and management of social media accounts, including creating and scheduling posts.

· Supporting the marketing team with administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing reports, social media analytics and other general duties as needed.

You will be:

· Confident working with visual identities and knowledgeable about the reprographic and print production process

· Digital and content savvy

· Able to prioritise multiple projects and meet deadlines

· An excellent communicator and creative thinker

· Able to work independently as well as in a team, with a positive attitude

You will have:

· Proficient skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

· A strong understanding of design principles, including typography and layout

· Experience in preparing final artwork files across print and digital

· Familiarity with social media platforms and best practices

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· A high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Your experience will include:

· At least a year working in a design or marketing environment

Your qualifications should include:

· A graphic design degree or similar

In return, you’ll receive:

· A salary of £22,000-£27,000 (dependent on experience) (pro-rated for part time)
