Coffee Shop Kitchen Assistant/Cleaner

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant/Cleaner to join the team at our Coffee Shop on the banks of the River Hamble.

The fixed shifts for the position are 12pm to 5pm Monday to Friday.

The role involves clearing tables, loading and unloading cleared items from the dishwasher, assisting the cook with light kitchen duties, generally keeping the coffee shop clean and tidy throughout the day and assisting with packing down and the evening clean of the coffee shop.

Mermaids is a unique speciality coffee shop, roasting and serving our own coffee, nestled on the banks of the River Hamble in Universal Marina on the Swanwick to Warsash footpath.

Responsibilities:

• Clearing tables
• Washing up and operating the commercial dishwasher
• Assisting in keeping the coffee shop clean and tidy
• Provide consistently excellent customer service
• Cleaning duties & pack down
• Assisting the chef with light kitchen duties
