Senior Assistant Technical Officer

Senior Assistant Technical Officer (SATO)/ Cardiology Healthcare Science Assistant.

Band 3 or Band 2 to progress to Band 3 conditional on achievement of required SCST ECG certification.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Mid Yorkshire Trusts progressive Cardiology Service, providing services on 3 sites at Pinderfields (Wakefield), Pontefract and Dewsbury.

The Cardiac Investigations service provides a comprehensive range of invasive and non-invasive procedures.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring individual and this is an ideal opportunity to join our friendly team. Duties will include performing routine 12 lead electrocardiograms (ECGs), ambulatory blood pressure monitoring and ambulatory ECG with the potential to develop skills further as appropriate, such as support in exercise ECG. The successful candidate will also be responsible for other departmental duties including stock management/ ordering, cleaning and maintenance of equipment and training of students. The role requires a willingness to work across our 3 sites.

You will hold or be expected to study for an SCST Certificate in Electrocardiography qualification.

Applicants who do not have the required qualification are eligible to apply and if successful would be employed at Band 2 until the above relevant certificate is achieved.
