Off Cycle Intern
Role Description & Responsibilities:
- We are looking for an intern to join our trading team to build out the technological capabilities of the team.
- Build out software tools/utilities for data wrangling and data analysis to automate manual processes
- Work on data pipelines using data APIs and create tables/charts with pandas + plotly
- Build dashboards for visualizing data in an easy-to-digest way using Streamlit.
- Create APIs from scratch (such as database API to communicate with SQL using Alchemy in Python)
Essential Skills :
- Enrolled in Undergraduate/Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or similar
- Independent worker able to understand/digest documentation from python packages and implement code
- Good knowledge of object-orientated programming in Python
- Experience with pandas/dataframes
- Knowledge of debugging and using breakpoints
- Some knowledge of APIs and https protocols
- Some knowledge of SQL, git
Preferred Skills :
- Experience with web scraping and using APIs to download and manipulate data with Pandas
- Experience/Interest in SQL, database design and Unix
- Experience in data engineering/analytics in general
- Experience plotting data using tools like plotly
- Experience with dashboarding technologies (e.g Streamlit);
- Interest in finance;
