Part of a Multi-National Group, Mitsui Components Europe Ltd are an established, world leading manufacturer of high spec door locking systems for the automotive industry.

Production Supervisor / Leader

Salary: Competitive

Reporting to the Production Manager, the role involves supervising and leading all aspects of Production.

This exciting opportunity will focus on further developing an already successful Production department, driving daily output target achievement in our Assembly, Pass Through and Hot Rivet processes.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Supervising, leading and developing the Production department.
• Prepare production schedules and allocate resources.
• Ensure basic disciplines of time keeping and adherence to procedures.
• Lead continuous improvement activity to improve methods of work and quality of finished product.
• Assist with recruitment of associates.
• Train and coach associates to the required production and quality standards.
• Take responsibility for appropriate departmental documentation including, downtime reports, work instructions, return to work interviews, probationary and performance reviews.
• Attend and lead daily Manufacturing meetings as required.
• Set 5S standards and enforce adherence.

Ideal Experience/training Requirements:

• Significant supervisory manufacturing experience ideally from automotive industry or similar manufacturing environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge and experience of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Automotive quality systems etc.
• Excellent PC skills.
