HGV Night Driver

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Montgomery Distribution Limited is currently seeking to recruit an HGV Night Driver to complete night trunking between depots and a central hub in a safe, effective and efficient manner complying with legislative requirements, best practice and company procedures. Drivers will be responsible for a range of activities including:

• Administrative duties involved with the role including tachograph records, daily duty records and customer documentation
• Load security and restraint of goods whilst in transit
• Daily vehicle checks

Drivers are expected to abide by the rules of the road and act as an ambassador for Montgomery Distribution Limited. They are expected to be professional and presentable and capable of engaging with suppliers and customers on behalf of the Company.

Drivers should have a working knowledge of the Highway Code rules and regulations involved in the safe and efficient operation of an HGV vehicle including possession of a full HGV licence. Drivers should also have the ability to deal effectively and patiently with others, as well as an ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English. Whilst not essential, it would be desirable for applicants to have more than 3 years’ experience of driving at an HGV level plus a Driver CPC / Driver Qualification Card (DQC).
