Warehouse Team Leader

Role Overview & Responsibilities

MP Filtri is an engineering product manufacturer and distributor based in Evesham. We have recently moved in to a state of the art facility on Vale Park and we are looking to recruit a hands on, professional and experienced Warehouse Team Leader into a semi-automated warehouse environment. You will lead the team but also be expected to perform day to day warehouse duties.

The role will be responsible for managing the warehouse team and ensuring the smooth running of the warehouse and that all orders are despatched on time.

The Role:

• Management of the warehouse team which includes their performance, attendance, and allocation of resources.
• Day to day warehouse duties; including goods in, picking, packing and OEM orders.
• Overseeing receiving, warehousing and distribution operations for shipments both domestic and world-wide.
• Implementing operational policies and procedures.
• Implement job rotation. Plan and implement training to achieve desired versatility. Ensuring the team are fully trained.
• Ensuring effective and safe use of warehouse equipment, along with ensuring the safety of the team. Ensure that accurate records of warehouse activities are kept.
• Month end inventory closure within the Financial Controller timeframe.
• Support the identification of slow-moving stock.
• Assist our auditors with our yearly stocktake audit.
• Motivating and managing the team.

The Person:

• Previous warehouse experience.
• Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures.
• Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.
• Valid drivers' license.
• Forklift licence.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong people skills.
• Where necessary, available to work extended hours.
