Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Caregiver to join our team of existing self employed private carers. Previous care experience is a requirement with a suitable reference. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing homecare services to an elderly gentleman involving assistance with mealtime (meals already prepared) and bedtime routine. This includes assisting with daily activities, providing companionship, and helping with medication management. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong commitment to providing quality care and will be comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming between 5.30pm-8pm each evening. We are looking to bring in 2 carers so that all nights are covered but this can be divided between carers to suit their availability. Only one carer is needed at any one time.
• Monitor patient's condition and report any changes to the family (one nominated family member to arrange).
• Provide companionship and support - the gentleman is current able to walk with aids but needs assistance and guidance.
• Medications as prescribed by the doctor are currently taken by himself.
• No requirement for transporting the client as this is done by the family, but own transport to and from the premises is an advantage.
• Assist with physical therapy exercises.

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 17.5 per week

Salary: £14.00-£16.00 per hour

Day range:

• Every weekend
• Monday to Friday
