My Life is a growing charity that connects people with their communities, and we are currently seeking a cleaner / support worker to work across our site in Standish, Wigan!

Your Responsibilities

The role of will be a very a busy and varied one. It will involve general cleaning of the offices and classrooms keeping all areas clean, tidy and sanitised. Washroom areas to be cleaned twice daily and waste bins emptied. You will also be involved in cleaning and setting the onsite chalets before guests’ arrival. Weekly deep cleans will be required including windows, floors, walls and outside spaces. You would also be supporting and providing housekeeping for lady with Dementia who loves horses and dogs. The role will include prompting for personal care, ensuring daily routine is met including meals, domestic duties and accompanying this lady to a local café.

What you'll need to Succeed

You must be able to demonstrate the ability to work to a high standard and have the insight to handle your workload without instruction. Further necessary qualities are reliability, organisational skills, honesty and integrity.

You will be self-motivated, flexible, have the ability to work under pressure, within a team and on your own initiative. You may be required to work weekends and cover annual leave. Experience in cleaning schools, hospitals/ is preferred and full training will be given.
