Role Overview & Responsibilities

Newspace, based in Lydney Gloucestershire, is a well-established, market leader within the Modular Buildings and Modular/Temporary Accommodation industry, instantly recognisable within this field and we are well known for having a high-quality product range. Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare & assemble timber framework
• Insulate walls and ceiling
• First fix electrics (running electrical cables)
• Fit wall & ceiling boards (ply & plasterboard)Fit plastic trim and skirting
• Adhere to all Standard operating procedures and risk assessments
• Regularly review all hand tooling and record problems to the supervisor/Charge Hand
• Maintain a clean & safe workplace - 5S

Requirements:

• Experience working with air, electric and battery-operated power tools
• Experienced in using electric, pneumatic and battery-operated power tools (drills, nail & staple guns, etc)
• Physically capable of performing all roles within the team
• Ability to read & interpret documents, reports, drawings i.e., safety rules, operating & maintenance instructions, manuals etc
• Prepared to undergo development & training

Days - 40 hours per week

Monday to Thursday : 7.30 am to 16.30 pm Fri – 7.30 am to 13.30 pm

Training can be provided for the successful candidate.

Lydney is within easy commuting distance of Gloucester, Cheltenham, Bristol and South Wales. We operate a travel allowance policy - 30p a mile after 30 mile return commute.

Salary: £11.52-£14.15 per hour
