
Senior Payroll Officer
Role Overview & Responsibilities
Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll specialist to work closely with the Programme Lead in the implementation and delivery of a new in - house Payroll system. The successful hire will have previous operational payroll experience transitioning from an hybrid to In -house payroll service.
This is a 6 month fixed term contract with an immediate start, offering remote working, a generous salary & benefits package, and excellent career prospects with an established, public sector agency organisation.
Main ResponsibilitiesMain Responsibilities:
- Responsible for being a key contributor to the design, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of a new system application for the Payroll Team.
- Work closely with the Programme Lead, and additional key stakeholders to effectively manage the transition of payroll services from an outsourced vendor, to an in house programme.
- Work closely with other members of the Payroll team to continuously review current processes and identity best practice procedures where appropriate.
- Provide risk & issues identification, assessment, and mitigation to senior management.
- Provide technical and functional support for Oracle Fusion Payroll.
Personal Specification:
- Extensive experience in a similar Payroll and Payroll Operations role.
- Experience implementing full life cycle Payroll/Finance systems.
- PM/PMO experience building and maintaining project plans.
- Good understanding of payroll management processes, systems & process improvements.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Fusion Payroll and related modules.
