Role Overview & Responsibilities

NHS Scotland is committed to encouraging equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. The aim is for our workforce to be truly representative and for each employee to feel respected and able to give their best. To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.

Please note: As this post is part-time the salary will be pro-rata.

This post is a rare and exciting opportunity to work within the Critical Care Recovery Service (CCRS). This post is 15hrs at St Johns Hospital. As this is a Pan Lothian Service you will be required to move site on occasion.

The CCRS is a pan Lothian service founded in April 2020. We are a unique service which provides rehabilitation and support to patients after discharge from ICU. The post holder will have the opportunity to work alongside an engaging MDT, providing focused and tailored rehabilitation for patients within hospital and in their community setting after discharge.

The post holder is required to be an experienced ICU nurse who is organised and self motivated as well as highly empathetic towards patients and relatives. Ability to show leadership and team work are essential.

As the job is part time, there would be the opportunity to work alongside the CCRS in one of our Intensive Care Units. This would be a separate application, if interested please speak to Jo Thompson about this.
