Role Overview & Responsibilities

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included

(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.

This is a rotational post which will involve working throughout all departments within the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Maternity including Triage, Day Care, Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit, Labour Ward and Maternity theatres, and the ante natal and postnatal wards and will involve working days/ nights and 7.5hr and 11.55 hr shift patterns. The postholder will support the senior charge midwife and midwives within the departments in the delivery of safe and effective standards of care. The postholder’s main duties will include maintaining HEI infection control standards in accordance with Policy through cleaning and maintaining a safe clinical environment. Previous experience working in a healthcare setting would be a great advantage.
