Role Overview & Responsibilities

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for Band 5 Staff nurses in ward 5 at Dr Gray's Hospital. We have a full time post working rotational shift pattern. We are looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals who are committed to providing safe and effective standards of care with excellent communication and computer skills.

We are a dedicated team who promote patient safety and well being. Ward 5 is a busy 24 bedded male and female surgical ward within Dr Grays Hospital in Elgin. We have 18 surgical beds and 6 general medicine beds which cares for patients presenting with various surgical conditions such as pancreatitis, appendicitis, cholecystitis. We also care for gynae and general medicine patients.

We are looking to recruit an individual dedicated to continued learning. The individual should ideally have a minimum of two years post registration surgical experience as a band 5 with current acute surgical nursing experience in a healthcare setting is desirable. The successful individual should be able to meet the demands of the service and have the ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
