Manufacturing Operative

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are a Midlands based company that have a great opportunity for a permanent, full-time Production Operative at our site in Wednesbury.

The role will involve manufacturing timber and plywood packing cases, crates, components and pallets using nail guns, wood working machinery and power tools within a fast paced environment, ensuring a special regard to safety is adhered to at all times.

Required skills:

- Speak fluent English

- Read and write in English

- Understand measurements in mm and cm

- Follow clear manufacturing processes

- Have the ability to recognized different product types and parts

- Work to a timed schedule

- Demonstrate understanding of basic health and safety principles

Working hours:

• Core working hours 7am-3.30pm (38.75hr/week).
• Compulsory overtime may be required during the week from 6am and occasionally on Saturdays.
• Candidates MUST be able to get to Wednesbury for 6am start.

• Dependent on experience and qualifications.

Must be available to work between the hours of 6am to 5pm Monday to Friday (this will include overtime)

Applicants must be hardworking, quality driven and willing to work to the best of their ability, maximising quality and output at all times in a safe manner. Applicants must have a good attendance and have the ability to work under pressure, preferred manufacturing/assembly background and some experience in a similar field however full training will be given to the right candidates.

Applicants should be made aware that due to the nature of the role there is a requirement for physical activity which may involve heavy lifting.

Furthermore due to the nature of our work and the machinery used applicants must be aged 18+ to work on site.
