Driver Trainer

We are looking for applications to join our driver training team based on The Team Valley, Gateshead. We wish to appoint a well-organised & motivated individual to join the team to help plan & deliver all types of core training including blue Lights & carry out various types of assessments with both existing & potential staff

Directly accountable to the Driver Education Lead, you will be responsible for delivering high quality training in line with the requirements of our awarding body & upcoming Section 19 legislation

You will ideally hold a Diploma in Response Ambulance Driving Instruction (DERADI) and be a DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI), however working towards these qualifications is acceptable

You must hold full C1 licence entitlement

There is a requirement to deliver some training outside of normal office hours to accommodate some elements of core training

You must have well developed communication skills, Ability to manage own time, using initiative, prioritising workload and working to strict timescales. You will also work well within a team and be flexible

An ability to gain & maintain respect & credibility with peers & stakeholders & to make confident decisions are also essential skills required of the post holder
