Role Overview & Responsibilities

*Please note that this position may close early, if there are sufficient applications*

An opportunity has arisen for a well-motivated and enthusiasticHCPC Registered Biomedical Scientist to join our team in the Pathology Laboratory working primarily in Biochemistry, though the successful candidate may also be required to work flexibly across the Blood Sciences laboratories according to service needs. Applications will be considered from trainees, with demonstrable competencies, who are within6 months of attaining registration with HCPC, but applicants that are fully HCPC registered as a Biomedical Scientist will take priority, in the recruitment process.

The Pathology departments at North Tees and Hartlepool (NTH) and South Tees Hospitals (STH) are working collaboratively to develop a joint service called Tees Valley Pathology with services being delivered on all hospital sites. The new service model requires an individual to work within the Biochemistry department. While employment will be with NTH the post will require cross site working.
