Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed and motivated person to join the Medical Education Team on a fixed term contract until 22nd December 2023.

This is an exciting opportunity to support Medical Students in the region by providing reception support, outstanding customer service and teaching support.

This post is based at North Tyneside General Hospital, however travel to other Trust sites is required.

This post is for 37.5 hours per week, however part time and job share can considered for the successful candidate.

This post is to support teaching and clinical placements for Undergraduate Medical Students.

This post is to provide an excellent service to both internal and external customers.

The post holder needs to be able to deal with changing circumstances and last minute changes to student timetables.

We manage three major locality hospitals at North Tyneside, Wansbeck and Hexham, plus a number of smaller community hospitals and clinics from Tynemouth to Berwick on Tweed, in addition to our state-of-the-art Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital, the first of its kind in England. We also care for people in their homes and provide services from facilities in local communities such as health centres. We give people greater choice and control over their care to help them to live independently at home and avoid hospital admission where appropriate. High quality patient care is at the heart of everything we do and we strive to ensure every single patient and service user has an exceptional experience with us. We have one of the most extensive patient experience programmes of any trust in England.

To provide assistance within the Education Student office and to assist with the delivery of student rotations, courses and attachments.
