Role Overview & Responsibilities

These roles can be based in any of our office locations: London, Birmingham, Manchester, York, Bristol & Glasgow.

Role 1 - Freight Operating Companies (FOC) Team

The mainline freight operations team supervises freight and passenger charter operators providing services across the GB mainline network. The team provides strategic direction and focus on the management of health and safety risk in these sectors.

Role 2 - Eastern Team

There are route teams for each of Network Rail’s regions. The teams carry out inspections, investigations, enforcement and liaison with Network Rail regions and routes. They also have lead responsibility for yellow plant operators.

At ORR we have adopted hybrid working and are currently expected to work from our designated office for a minimum of two days per week.

Regional salary range: £57,603 - £66,967

London salary range: £61,764 - £70,898

This is a full-time role with flexible working options.
