Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Copy-edit and proofread text to ensure adherence to house style and maintain high editorial and presentational standards.
- Manage projects related to the production of various print and digital materials targeting diverse audiences.
- Restructure and rewrite content as needed to enhance clarity and coherence.
- Draft, proofread, check, and edit content for email communications, social media, presentations, and infographics, tailoring it to suit the intended audience.
- Support internal communications, including overseeing the operations of our client's intranet, and taking the lead in creating the weekly staff newsletter.
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have:
- Degree-level education in life sciences or equivalent experience preferred.
- Extensive experience in accurate copy-editing and proofreading, following a specific house style.
- Proficient in writing, rewriting, and restructuring content based on purpose, publication style, and target audience.
- Comfortable using intranet and website content management systems.
- Skilled in generating and supporting ideas for staff engagement.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat, particularly in Word.
- Previous experience in a healthcare-related organisation.
- Familiarity with marking up artwork and collaborating with designers.
