Warehouse Operator – FLT Driver

This is a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse facilities.

Job Objective

• 
  To process stock and customer orders throughout the distribution centre.
• Working in teams or as an individual carrying out various warehouse functions.
• Ensuring PD meet site objectives in line with customer requirements

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• 
  Receive, check, and store stock and non-stock items using a computerised stock locate system
• Break bulk and replenish pick zones in line with production timelines
• Maintain stock quality and quantity
• Assemble customer orders in line with production timetables and to customer specification
• Despatch customer orders in line with production timetables and to customer specification
• Complete all associated paperwork and maintain records as necessary
• Be able to communicate at all levels
• Forklift Driver, or Forklift Operator is responsible for operating forklifts and moving goods around the Glover DC
• Using forklifts to unload deliveries, stacking boxes for storage, and moving wooden pallets around the warehouse
• All drivers in Glover must follow the three main principles of the LOLER Regulations:
  • Lifting operations must be properly planned and managed
  • Lifting equipment must be used in a safe manner
  • Lifting equipment must be thoroughly inspected at suitable intervals by a competent person
• Promote environmental processes as well as health and safety of all employees and visitors

Qualifications and Experience

• Must have FLT license – bendi or Flexi FLT (Narrow Aisle)
• Competent degree of numeracy and literacy
• Acceptable level of physical fitness
• Demonstrate the ability to work to a high standard of accuracy
• Demonstrate the ability to work competently as an individual or as part of a team
• Able to stand or work during significant durations with the ability to lift and carry boxes
• Operatives may be required to work in any area of the distribution centre as workload and production timetables dictate and in line with prevailing knowledge and experience
• Warehousing and Distribution experience in FMCG environment is desirable
