**About the service user: **

A is a happy 10 year old girl who lives in Whittlesey with her parents, her family are Turkish speaking. A has a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder, learning difficulties, sensory difficulties, speech, language and social skill impairment. A is non verbal and communicates with sounds or pointing she may take your hand and show you if she wants something. A displays some obsessive behaviour with items she likes to have with her at all times. A is solitary and likes to be by herself or with her mum she does not make eye contact or interact with new people. A is described as delightful, she has lots of energy and loves to run in the park and jump on the trampoline she also enjoys lego blocks, books, jigsaws, a tablet or phone and quiet times at soft play areas. A expresses happiness by smiling.

**Hours and Rate of Pay: **

Hours to be used flexibly in term time and school holidays 188 hours a year.

Hours paid at £10 per hour

** *Enhanced DBS clearance is required* **

**What you would be doing: **

Support in the home until you get to know each other. Keeping A safe and happy which will give her parents some respite. A can display some challenging behaviour such as screaming, hitting out and occasional spitting, you will need to learn triggers for these behaviours and how to manage them. Building trust and understanding in the role.

**The person I would like: **

You will have experience of supporting others with learning difficulties and the challenging behaviour learning disabilities can bring. It is very important that you are friendly and cheerful, you will also need to be patient, flexible and punctual. Someone who is happy and willing to be in interactive, you will be encouraging in order to improve and develop skills, A responds well to positive energy.
