Role Overview & Responsibilities

PERFECT CANDIDATE are delighted to be partnering with a client who provide flexible, high quality solutions in electronic and mechanical assembly. Our client is seeking an experienced Production Planner to join their growing team.

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience of working as a Production Planner in a manufacturing environment is essential. Experience of working in a similar contract electronic environment is desired;
  • Strong experience with systems and databases including MRP/ERP;
  • Able to demonstrate an eye for detail and accuracy;
  • Customer service oriented, planning effectively towards meeting on time delivery targets. Flexible to adapt to changing priorities;
  • Innovate and creative approach to problem solving;
  • Strong written and verbal communication;
  • Enjoys working within a team and displays support for others;

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Assist with the production plan to ensure it is up to date and accurate;
  • Update Kitting board from the production plan, ensuring dates are achievable and liaising with purchasing for on time issue of parts;
  • Update the production planning board;
  • Attend Customer Account Meetings (Production Meetings) with the Production Coordinator to assist with planning and updates;
  • Assist in the month-end process with the Production Coordinator so that month- end requirements are met in a timely manner;
  • Communicate between Production and Account Managers on issues and progress for their customer products;
  • Cover for the Production Coordinator during any absence;
  • Contribute to ideas for improving the planning systems and processes;
  • Any other duties that may be reasonably required
