Role Overview & Responsibilities

Portess & Richardson is a small, award winning practice, established in 1938 and based in central Peterborough. With projects located across the country, we design for a wide range of sectors including healthcare, schools, residential, commercial, sports and leisure projects.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Part 1 or Part 2 Architectural Assistant to join our team.

Key duties including

· Work to assist the lead Architect on projects from inception to completion

· Help prepare design proposals presentation works, 3D modelling.

· Assisting with production of design and technical drawing packages

Candidates should be:

• Qualified RIBA Part 1 or Part 2 or equivalent
• Excellent design skills together with a passion for architecture.
• Strong AutoCAD experience and hand sketching abilities.
• Strong SketchUp / Photoshop experience.
• Good communication skills; writing, drawing and face-to-face.
• The successful candidate will be confident, friendly and efficient.
• Enthusiastic and happy to assist wherever required.
• Highly self-motivated, flexible, and comfortable working to deadlines.
• Willingness to gain construction site experience.

We can provide a competitive salary working within a friendly and relaxed environment. The position is office based and is 20 minutes’ walk from the train station / Peterborough City Centre, private parking is available.

Salary negotiable depending on experience.
