Role Overview & Responsibilities

Salary: £37,500 - £55,800 (including overtime), negotiable based on experience and qualifications

Professional Engineering Services Ltd is looking for a highly competent individual to join our team. As an Approved Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in hazardous environments.

Responsibilities:

• Perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
• Conduct inspections, testing, and certification of electrical equipment and systems.
• Assess risks and implement necessary safety measures to ensure a secure work environment.
• Collaborate with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors to deliver high-quality electrical services.
• Maintain accurate records of work activities and adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Stay updated with industry advancements, regulations, and best practices.

Requirements:

• CompEx certification preferred but not essential.
• Proven experience as an Approved Electrician, preferably in hazardous environments.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and components.
• Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., IEC, ATEX, BS 7671).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
