Children's Residential Care Worker

Location: Ebbw Vale

Job type: Full time, Permanent

Salary: £27,000- £30,000 depending on experience.

Shift patterns - All long day sleeps.

Week 1 (Monday, Thursday, Saturday)

Week 2 (Thursday, Friday, Sunday)

Week 3 (Wednesday)

Prospero Group are recruiting a Residential Care Worker for a children’s home in Ebbw Vale. In this role you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe and positive home for young people with additional needs. You must have a caring and nurturing attitude and genuine want to help.

Key Responsibilities

· Under the guidance of the Manager, working with the team to ensure a high-quality service.

· To be a positive role model to young people and ensure that professional work boundaries are adhered to at all times.

· Ensure that the home environment is appropriate & sensitive to the needs of children and young people looked after.

· To provide advice, guidance and support to the young people.

· To ensure that you are keeping yourself up to date with relevant and current legislation.

· Using the residential community as a means of support and social learning for young people.

· To participate in the monitoring and recording of care plans

What do you need?

· At least 2 years in a registered residential children’s home

· QCF Level 3 Health & Social Care Children and Young People.

· naturally caring, flexible and resilient

· driving licence

· DBS

· Social Care For Wales

· Must be flexible and expect to work bank holidays.

· Passion to working with and helping young people.
