Salary: Competitive depending on experience
Working Pattern: Permanent position. 37.5 hours per week.
Pulse is delighted to be working with a truly unique service provider operating within the social care sector. They are currently seeking an experienced band 5 Staff Nurse to join their team in carrying their goal forward.
The service provider offers a range of clinical and social care services to young people with mental health needs. The service provider entails a variety of units including Acute units; Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) units; a generic tier 4; Specialist Eating Disorder services; PICU CAMHS and Forensic CAMHS.

Their mission is ambitious, but straightforward: to fulfil the void in the social care sector by facilitating high-quality, specialised placements for young people who have been discharged from in-patient Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and who will need skilled support and rehabilitation in the community, or as an efficient, secure alternative to in-patient admission.
What are the requirements for the role?
- A qualified nurse, either mental health trained (RMN), learning disabilities (RNLD), or child health trained (RCN) or adult general nurse (RGN)
- 1 year's post-registration experience essential
- Inpatient experience essential
- CAMHS experience desirable
Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer medication in accordance with professional recommendations.
- Where necessary, complete professional reports and assessments on patients.
- Recognise the value of customer service and maintain a positive, polite, and helpful demeanour when dealing with users of the service provider.
- Collaboration with other healthcare specialists to develop treatment programmes for patients suffering from mental illnesses
- Observing and supervising patients within the care home to ensure their safety
