Site Engineer

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Our Client a leading Construction company based in the UK and Ireland. With their UK company having a particular focus on small to medium scale civil engineering and industrial projects.

Have a requirement for an experienced Site Engineer. to work on an initial project in the Grangemouth area. With other projects in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

The roles will site based.

Scope of work –

Warehouse /build refurbishment projects which involve –

• concrete floor slab,
• fit out,
• M&E ,
• weigh bridges,
• fencing,
• car parks,
• drainage,
• steel structure and cladding envelope

Key Duties

• Setting-out from engineers’ drawings, site surveys, as-built drawings
• Reading and interpreting drawings for layouts, materials measure etc
• Management of subcontractors/general workforce on site
• Planning works in an efficient manner to ensure programme targets are achieved
• Liaise with client’s representatives and Design Team members as appropriate
• Ensure that all works are carried out to the highest Health and Safety standards
• Ensure work is carried out to the highest of quality standards
• Monitoring and recording of materials on site
• Record keeping and reporting

Requirements

• Relevant Third Level Qualification
• Excellent IT Skills
• Minimum 2 years’ experience on construction sites, dependent on role
• Strong interpersonal skills, written and oral communication skills
• Self-motivating to deliver on safety, quality & programme
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Full driving license
• SMSTS. Preferred

Salary: £52,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Site Engineer: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (required)
• Degree or Equivalent (required)
• SMSTS (preferred)
