Job Title: Safeguarding Specialist (2 days a week)
Location: Remote

You’ll be responsible for supporting learner welfare requests via email and phone and ensuring this is relevant as defined based on Ofsted outstanding. Managing a caseload of learners and/or leading the way for staff to receive training and content drops. Provide professional guidance regarding all types of learner safeguarding issues, ensuring all learners receive the highest quality support and responses to concerns raised.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all regulatory requirements attached to Apprenticeship Learning.
  • Deliver awareness training to staff on matters relating to safeguarding & Prevent.
  • Utilise safeguarding understanding to create bespoke content or guidance within staff 1-2-1 upskilling calls
  • Create and evolve Safeguarding & welfare content, (support information), including safeguarding for those on programme
  • Establish local & national involvement ties, with services, partners or agencies.
  • Make referrals to external welfare organisations and/or emergency services in response to critical learner needs

Your experience:

  • Extensive experience of working with either young, vulnerable or at risk groups in an education or support services role.
  • Experience of working with a cross spectrum of beneficiaries from all ages, background and/or walks of life
  • Previous experience and understands how to work towards providing sound advice, support & guidance.
  • Experience of working collaboratively with external partners or services through industry relationships.
  • Understanding of post 16 and post 18 education and training options.
  • Understanding of common welfare issues that impact both young and mature learners
