Role Overview & Responsibilities

Position: Warehouse Operative

C.S.A – Full time – 5 days out of 7 days (Sunday to Saturday)

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB:

• To be responsible for the accepting of deliveries from suppliers, ensuring that goods received correspond to delivery notes and to quality specifications. Processing all aspect of goods in and out into our Warehouse management system. Warehouse assistant will be looking after stock control, order picking and delivery to dedicated areas in the Chillers, Freezers and Ambient within the unit and warehouse. The Warehouse Assistant will be including driving, Forklift truck B1 and Bendi truck.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY AND FUNCTIONS:

• To be responsible for the accurate issuing of goods for all departments, via our warehouse system.
• To ensure that all the goods issued are placed onto either pallets or in cages in a neat and safe manner
• To ensure that any goods issued to all clients are accompanied by a delivery note
• To be able to operate, Counter balance B1, Power Pallet Truck and Bendi Truck
• To be responsible for the stacking and storage of all goods in the Unit, via the warehouse management system into designated areas in a manner whereby they will not cause injury or obstruction to any person
• To ensure that all stock is rotated efficiently and effectively
• To ensure that all stock checks are carried out as and when required
• To ensure that all equipment is correctly used and any damage or faults are reported
• To ensure that all protective clothing is worn correctly
• To ensure that all standards of cleanliness are within the guidelines laid down in the company procedures
• To ensure that ISO 2000 standards are maintained
• To maintain company standards on personal hygiene
• To report on accidents, near misses and hazardous occurrences in line with company procedures and take preventative action where necessary
• To attend training as and when required
• To assume any other responsibilities as directed by the company representative
• Basic computer work.

COMMUNICATION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Warehouse Manager - Stock Requirements/ Shortages
• Warehouse Manager/ Supply Chain - Stock Availability
• Warehouse Manager – Report Shortages
• Other Departments - Clarification on orders

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: Up to £13.33 per hour
