Sports Coach - School Holiday Programme

Role Overview & Responsibilities

The Trust:

Redbridge Sports & Leisure is a thriving sporting complex run by Redbridge Sports Centre Trust Ltd, an independent charitable trust established in 1972. One of the largest venues of its kind, the centre provides first-class sporting and social facilities, particularly in Racket Sports for its members and the local community.

The Position:

The Trust has a vacancy for sports coaches (Tennis, Badminton, Squash, and Football qualifications preferable) who will positively impact the Academy of Sport Programme. The Coach will be responsible for their own group and will focus on providing the best coaching and fun sessions for the children on the programme.

Responsible to the Academy of Sports Manager the coach will work closely to maximise the potential of the programme, expanding ideas on promoting and marketing the sessions.

In order to inspire the team of coaches and to develop the programme to its full potential, the Head Football Coach would be required to work every Saturday morning throughout the year (excluding holiday entitlement).

The Person:

Must be 18 and over (An Ofsted requirement on the holiday programme)

Has an outgoing and charismatic personality

Qualified to at least, a Level 2 coaching qualification (Level 3 desirable)

A satisfactory Enhanced DBS check

At last 1 year's experience in coaching children

The Facilities:

The facilities currently comprise an Olympic-standard 12 court badminton/3 court netball hall, 7 squash / racketball courts, a 5 court badminton hall, 6 floodlit artificial grass outdoor tennis courts, an 8 court indoor tennis initiative, 2 floodlit synthetic grass hockey/soccer pitches, 12 floodlit tarmac netball/tennis courts, grass soccer pitches, 100 station fitness suite, 2 dance studios, spinning room, crèche, health suite, therapy room, Sports Page bar, coffee shop, catering, functions room and bistro facility.

Contract length: 12 months

Salary: £7.49-£20.04 per hour
