Food Production Operative

Role Overview & Responsibilities

Reet Yorkshire Food, based in Ripon are a small, but rapidly growing company making artisan Jams, Marmalades, Chutneys, Relishes and Sauces.

We are looking for a Food Production Operative to join our small team working in the kitchen making our delicious products.

This post is to cover maternity leave for one year.

We are an award-winning business and you will be responsible for manufacturing our products, ensuring the highest standard and continuity

Key responsibilities:

• Follow our in-house recipes to produce our products
• Food preparation, cooking and packing
• Work efficiently to ensure weekly output targets are met
• Maintain a clean production environment
• Comply with food safety standards, quality and legality

Skills required to fulfil the roles include:

• Food production experience desirable, but not essential. Full training will be given
• Ability to work in a small team environment & independently
• Good work ethic, efficient, reliable and trustworthy
• Good literacy, numeracy skills
• Knowledge of working to Salsa standards – not essential
• Hours of work – 24 hours per week over 3 days per week.

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract

Part-time hours: 24 per week

Salary: £10.42 per hour
