Role Overview & Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the Machine Learning Engineer:
  • Design, build, and deploy production-grade software, infrastructure, and MLOps systems that leverage machine learning to help our customers solve high-impact problems.
  • Develop new methodologies and champion best practices for managing AI systems deployed at scale, with regard to technical, ethical, and practical requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including commercial, data science, product management, and design, to cover all aspects of AI product delivery.
  • Support both technical and non-technical stakeholders to deploy ML to solve real-world problems.
  • Participate in strategy design, problem formation, and prioritisation, data sourcing, and data exploration.
Requirements of the Machine Learning Engineer:
  • Strong expertise in machine learning, including supervised and unsupervised learning, natural language processing (NLP), and reinforcement learning.
  • Fluent in data exploration techniques and enjoys collaborating with others.
  • Skilled in strategy design, problem formation and prioritization, and data sourcing, including implementing and using APIs and database administration.
  • Familiar with organization data maturity concepts.
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, Airflow, AWS, Pandas, and Pytorch or Tensorflow.
  • Strong focus on engineering with a keen interest and working knowledge of operationalised machine learning.
  • Ability to take cutting-edge ML applications into the real world.
