General Farm and Poultry Worker
Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are looking for a general farm and poultry worker to include regular weekend work across our 2 Broiler Farms.
Your role will include
- Working inside the poultry sheds completing the day to day tasks
- Looking after bird welfare
- General farm duties such as ground maintenance including use of equipment
- Willing to do night work when required
The applicant must have a full UK driving licence.
Intermediate level of numeracy and literacy.
Have a good level of physical fitness and ability to carry out manual duties.
Previous experience of working in an agriculture environment or similar position ideally.
Poultry welfare certificate / NVQ Level 2 in livestock production is desirable, but full training will be given.
Hours will be flexible but usually 8am - 4pm and also on occasions evening work.
Weekend hours are 8am-12pm
Hours per week will range from 30-40 hours
Due to Bird Welfare, it is essential that you do not own any Avian Pets or Poultry.
Salary: £10.50-£12.50 per hour
