Role Overview & Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION - GYM SUPERVISOR

Accountable to: General Manager

Responsible for: Gym Members

Hours: 15-20 hours per week - weekends required.

Job Purpose: To support the General Manager is running the facility day to day and acting as a duty manager when the General Manager is away. To deliver exceptional customer service to our members.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager in the day to day smooth running of the gym.
• Act as Duty Manager for the Gym, in the absence of the Manager.
• Responsible for targeting improvements in service level delivery.
• Record and monitor daily safety checks on all equipment, report any hazards and ensure cleaning tasks are completed
• To ensure any potential hazards are reported to the Manager
• To arrange tours of the facilities and the "selling" of memberships
• To organise and facilitate events to recruit new and lapsed members
• Open and Close the club. Early Morning/Evenings/Weekends will be required.
• 6am-10pm Monday - Friday Opening Hours / 8am-8pm Weekend Opening Hours

• To deliver a customer service focused culture across the gym.
• To listen to & communicate effectively with all our customers & members.
• To deliver services that are easy to access for all customers.
• To communicate effectively with all customers.

· To be competent and confident in the use of all equipment in the gym.

Valid First Aid qualification essential.

Valid Level 2 Gym Instructor essential.

Level 3 Personal Trainer desirable.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 20 per week

Salary: From £10.42 per hour

Experience:

• Leisure Assistant/ Supervisor: 1 year (required)

Licence/Certification:

• Exercise and Fitness Level 2 Qualification (required)
