House Assistant

This is a fantastic opportunity to become a House Assistant at Ronald McDonald House Edinburgh.

The House provides free 'home away from home' accommodation for families with children at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh. You will be engaging with families and helping them to cope through very difficult times. A welcoming and friendly attitude should be second nature to you as you take a role in greeting families and maintaining their surroundings, as well as supporting them throughout their stay.

Key responsibilities

• Helping create a comfortable environment for families who are going through a difficult time
• Manage time and tasks effectively
• Comply with guidelines to maintain a clean and safe environment in the House
• Good awareness of other roles within the House team and Charity
• Helping run events in the House and in the community

Previous experience of working in a face-to-face customer setting and basic computer knowledge is desirable.

Please note that we are recruiting for both a Maternity Cover position (fixed term contract) and a full-time position.

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
