Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to operate within our re-envisaged Community Warden Team. This new team of officers will be working in close liaison with internal & external stakeholders, neighbourhood policing and Community Safety Partnership commissioned services to focus and respond to emerging issues reported by the communities we serve.

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead; whose area includes both urban and rural communities such as Ascot, Bray, Cookham, Datchet, Eton, Sunninghill, Sunningdale and a number of smaller villages.

This role is a varied and interesting one. It involves providing a professional uniformed presence to deter crime and anti-social behaviour and to address the safeguarding needs of vulnerable members of the community. You will need to be fit, alert, have excellent communication and observational skills, enjoy meeting people, and relish working outdoors.

You will need to be a proven problem solver, able to compile accurate reports, collate evidence and manage a caseload with relevant agencies and key stakeholders. You will also be required to carry out wide range of both support and enforcement duties.

You will be working in a team environment following a shift pattern that includes evenings and occasional weekends. A full driving licence and use of a car is required for the post.
