Drainage Technician

Geocore Site Investigations Limited part of the RSK Group are a site investigations contractor delivering work nationally and specialising in the investigation of domestic subsidence providing detailed site surveys including foundation inspections, drainage CCTV’s and Geothermal boreholes.

We now have an opportunity for a Drainage Technician to join our team in Redcar to actively maintain drainage networks on a reactive or scheduled basis to contract specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to maintain and operate high pressure water cleaning equipment using van pack jetting units.
• Understand the use of CCTV to diagnose problems, drain tracing, dye testing and unblocking drainage systems to allow the completion of CCTV camera surveys.
• Use of mechanical cleaning tools for root cutting, concrete cutting, lateral cutting. Relining, Patch Lining, Excavating and Replacing defective drainage. Report all hazards / incidents / near hits
• Transportation of materials
• Any other tasks required by management

Experience:

• 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential
• CSCS Card
• Safe Working in Confined Spaces Certificate desirable (training will be provided))
• GCSE in Maths and English, Grade C or above (or equivalent)
• Experience of grading drains is essential

Salary and Benefits:

• £30,875 per annum, working a 47.5 hr week
