Head Registered Veterinary Nurse, Market Harborough, Leicestershire

Exciting opportunity for an experience full-time Head Registered Veterinary Nurse at Rutland Veterinary Centre

We are seeking an experienced Head RVN to drive the business forward, bringing new ideas and motivation to the current close-knit team. This role will suit a confident RVN who is enthusiastic, forward-thinking and highly motivated with previous leadership experience.

We are fortunate to have a team of experienced vets, RVN’s, and dedicated support staff all of whom share our passion for providing high standards of veterinary care. A number of our RVNs are certificate holders; we actively encourage and fund these. In addition to a generous personal CPD allowance, we hold regular in-house CPD days for the whole team to continually improve and advance our standards. The whole team has access to Vetstream.

As you would expect, our practices are well-equipped including multi-parameter monitoring, digital x-ray, ultrasound, in-house biochemistry and haematology machines.

Our full-time nurses work 4 days a week on an 8:30am - 6:30pm shift pattern with paid lunch breaks. Rotating between inpatient, theatre and consulting roles throughout the week, nurses can get involved in a varied caseload of small animals.

Currently seeking hospital status through the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme, we pride ourselves on providing our own out-of-hours service. With dedicated night nurses, there are no weeknights on call in this role. However, participation in our 1:5 alternating Saturday and Sunday rota, along with an equal share of bank holidays is expected.

• Bachelor's (preferred)
