Kitchen Assistant

Role Overview & Responsibilities

St Andrews nursing home is looking for a kitchen assistant to join our team. This is a split shift working from 1030-1400 1630-1930. Main duties will include but are not limited to -

• Washing, peeling and preparing food ingredients
• Using equipment such as mixers, special knives and cutters
• Reviewing kitchen inventory and determining what items are needed
• Unloading fresh supplies and organising the stockroom
• Checking sell-by dates and rotating food stock
• Cleaning kitchen appliances, ovens, dishes and pans
• Observing cooking times and correct temperatures
• Washing dishes and preparing trolley for mealtimes

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 21 per week

Salary: £10.42 per year

• Day shift
