We're recruiting for a part-time Kitchen Porter to join our team at Salt Café in Morningside on Saturdays.

This is a permanent position, working 1 day/week on a Saturday with a 30-minute unpaid break. More shifts are available in the Summer (July - Aug) should you wish to pick up any extra days.

The Role

• Wash cookware, utensils and cutlery fast to keep them in rotation
• Unpack and put away deliveries and keep stockroom organised & clean
• Keep kitchen work surfaces (counters, sinks, stoves, walls) clean and sanitised
• Sweep and mop floors
• Comply with health and safety regulations

Skills you'll learn

• How to work effectively as part of a team
• Stock management and rotation
• Food safety and hygiene

Experience

You don't need previous experience, but you do need to be:

• Reliable and punctual
• Enthusiastic with a can-do attitude
• A good team worker
• Able to cope in a fast-paced busy environment
• Willing to learn

Salary: £5.50-£10.42 per hour
