Part Time Bookkeeper

Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a part time Bookkeeper to join our small family run business with the view to go full time in the summer.

The role consists of bookkeeping using a Xero software package, In addition to accurate data processing, accurate reconciliation work and VAT return preparation alongside processing weekly and monthly payroll.

Responsibilities include full end to end payroll, setting up new starters and processing leavers, handling queries, pension payroll.

The successful candidate will have previous payroll and bookkeeping experience with the ability to prepare manual payroll calculations, up to date knowledge of payroll legislation and auto-enrolment.

The successful candidates will have good IT skills in Excel and Word and be a strong team player.

Experience of working within an accountancy practice and AAT qualified would be desired but practical experience is as valuable.

Strong bookkeeping experience is key to the role and as you will take control of bookkeeping, payroll and VAT return work.

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 12-16 per week

Salary: £12.00-£14.00 per hour
