About us

Founded in the Perthshire town of Pitlochry, Scotland, Saorsa 1875 is the flagship hotel of Saorsa, a hospitality group committed to showcasing that the best experiences in life don’t have to come at the expense of animals or the environment. Saorsa is the first 100% vegan hotel in the UK.

Housed in a 19th-century baronial building, we have 11 guest bedrooms, a bar, a restaurant, a snug, a beer garden, and a yoga yurt, all decorated with luxurious linens, bohemian styling, and antique furnishings. Everything in the hotel, from staff uniforms to the food we serve, is completely plant-based.

Responsibilities

We're looking for help with all aspects of running the hotel, including (but not limited to):

• Housekeeping
• Serving food and beverages to guests across breakfast, lunch, and dinner
• Assisting with customer service queries via email and telephone
• Helping serve drinks behind the bar

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be fluent in English
• Must have the right to work in the UK
• Must be able to work well within a small team
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to work with little supervision while maintaining a high level of performance
• Must be customer-orientated and friendly
• Must be able to work quickly without compromising quality.
• Must be comfortable with dogs. We’re a dog-friendly hotel so have a lot of ‘free-range’ dogs you are likely to encounter.
• You do not need to be vegan, but we would like someone who is ‘plant-curious’.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 40 per week

Salary: Up to £12.00 per hour
