Role Overview & Responsibilities

We are Britain’s largest designer and supplier of energy-efficient, bespoke Swedish timber frame homes in the UK and over the next couple of years, we will be continuing to expand.

We are looking for individuals who are passionate, determined and enthusiastic to help our customers realise their dream of building their own home.

Full-time, Permanent.

The primary role is to be responsible for the accurate preparation of design proposals and detailed construction drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for the accurate preparation of detailed construction drawings
  • To ensure that all technical drawings and information are to the highest quality, accuracy and to meet agreed deadlines
  • To prepare detailed design proposals
  • To prepare technical drawing packages for planning applications
  • Have an understanding of the Building Control process and prepare and submit client Building Regulation Applications
  • To produce 3D Visuals to support design proposals
  • To work closely with our Project Managers and attend client meetings as necessary to discuss their design requirements
  • Manage multiple projects at any one time that could be at varying stages of the build

Requirements/Experience/Qualifications:

  • Experience in Structural Engineering or have an Architectural background
  • Ideally professionally qualified RIBA/CIOB, Degree in Construction Management or Architecture, or relevant qualification in Architectural Design
  • Good understanding of Building Regulations and Planning Permission procedures
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Adobe Photoshop
  • Experience in Vectorworks and Revit advantageous
  • A passion for design and creative flair
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Flexible and adaptable to change
  • Understanding of timber frame structures advantageous
  • Full UK driving licence essential due to our location
