Role Overview & Responsibilities

Scope and Remit of the Role

Your role will be to provide support in preparation of the management accounts based at Head Office.

You will be communicating with regional managers, regional offices and branch staff on a regular basis to obtain and verify information relevant to the department tasks.

Role Duties and requirements

Key responsibilities

· Reconciliation, posting and monitoring of bank accounts

· Balance sheet reconciliations

· Preparing and post journals as allocated by the Management Accountant

· Assisting with utilities control (HLP, Telephone & Water) including payments, accruals and prepayments

· Assisting with Locum Control & Payments

· Assisting with Optical & Hearing Stocktakes

· Production of Weekly, Period and YTD KPIs

· Assist with maintenance of the Asset Registers

Qualifications, training and experience required

· Ideally some experience of working within a finance role

· Good Microsoft Excel skills

· Experience of dealing with high volumes of work

· An understanding of accountancy and double entry

· Ability to be accurate when dealing with high volumes of work

· Tenacity to investigate and fully resolve queries

· Ability to work well as part of a small team but also to work under own initiative

· Ability to plan and organise work schedule effectively

· Self starter with an aptitude to learn new skills, rise to a challenge and approach tasks with a “can do” attitude

· Trustworthy, honest, committed and to work with integrity
