Job Description – LEAD PAINT ARTIST
Key Purpose of the Job (Position Summary)
The lead Paint Artist is responsible for the all kinds of props painting finishing mural and scenic, backdrops and visual displays as per the drawings and sample provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Documentation of color and process for every surface that is treated.
- Finishing mural and scenic, backdrops and visual displays as per the drawing and sample provided.
- Lead a team of props painter/base painter.
- Assisting fibreglass team as an when required.
Educational Qualification
- Associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts or a related field.
Additional Qualifications / certifications
Prior experience
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in theme park construction.
- Experience in Scenic painting, mural painting and props.
Other skills (preferred)
- Proficiency in all types of spray equipment, trade tools and application techniques.
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Background/education in art with demonstrable body of work.
- Ability to mix colours.
- Ability to work in an outdoor construction environment including but not limited to working on ladders and scaffolding.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday

- Birmingham, B35 6AN: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
