Role Overview & Responsibilities

Serenity inmind provides support, to individuals with a range of disabilities and complex needs, in particular those with autistic spectrum disorder ,Learning disabilities and mental health, assisting the individual's to live as independently as possible as respected members of their local community.

Serenity inmind currently has multiple services within Leicester city/county.The individuals we support receive 24/7 which includes waking nights and sleep ins, this could be on a 2-1 and 1-1 staffing basis.

We aim to promote the individuals independence with all aspects of their day to day life. This includes personal care, Financial support, Medication administration, Attending appointments, Accessing the community, Travel planning, Positive risk taking ,communication, Liaising with family members and other agencies, nutrition and behavioural support.

We are looking for individuals that are motivated, creative and are able to 'think outside the box' particularly in stressful situations.

Support workers are required for all the services within Leicester, full time /part time and casual hours are available. Experience is preferred but not essential as training and shadow shifts will be provided, salary is dependent on qualifications within care. Drivers are required but not essential.

Part-time hours: 40 per week

Salary: £10.42-£11.00 per hour

Day range:

• Every weekend
• Monday to Friday

Shift:

• 12 hour shift
• Day shift
• Night shift

Experience:

• Home care: 1 year (preferred)
• Support Worker: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)
