Role Overview & Responsibilities

Laboratory Technician, Stracathro Grain Store

Applications are welcomed for the above full time, permanent vacancy.

Normal working hours will be 40 hours per week, 7.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday with an hour unpaid lunch break.

Harvest hours will be 7.00am – 7.00pm as required with the occasional weekend work.

The position is very much a hands-on role and there will be daily direct involvement with production performance and quality standards.

Due to the working environment Health and Safety is a high priority and you will be expected to maintain and drive this forward.

Key Tasks:

• Laboratory testing of grain bulks and incoming and outgoing loads
• Supervising laboratory staff during harvest
• Inputting of information into operating system
• Operation of weighbridge when required
• Sampling of sheds
